Intelligent MultiMedia as a Master degree study will produce candidates with a proficiency in theories, models and systems for the computer integration of multiple media. These will include understanding of what these modalities are, the processing of them by computer, and the possibility of hosting them on mobile phones, personal data assistants and robots.

The study for the M.Sc.E. degree will take 1 1/2 years and is taught in English. Students are required to have obtained a B.Sc. in electronic engineering or an equivalent degree. A four semester Master programme of design-based studies combining advanced skills in design, engineering and academic discipline. Digital Design is a new interdisciplinary platform where architecture, design, culture, art and communication are the basis for a new forward-looking, synthesized competence. The specialization in Computer Vision and Graphics has the following purpose and contents:
To provide the students with understanding of the duality between computer based analysis of digitalized video images (Computer Vision) and computer based generation of digital images (Computer Graphics.
To give knowledge and understanding of computer vision methods of monitoring a dynamic world and control of processes on the basis of this monitoring.
To give knowledge and understanding of technologies of building Virtual Reality applications.
To enable the students to analyze techniques and methods and use them in building Computer Vision systems and/or interactive Virtual Reality systems. The specialization is built around a range of courses reflecting the two main elements of the specialization.

If you are interested in multi modal interfaces, virtual reality, motion capture, interactive acoustics, new interface design, tangible interfaces and ubiquitous computing, with applications in new media technology and art, then the Medialogy Master is the education for you. During the four semesters, you will specialize in one or more of the fields of multi modal interfaces, audio-visual systems and/or digital culture. You will also gain in-depth knowledge of virtual reality technologies, working in the state of the art facilities in VR provided by Aalborg University. You will learn how to design, implement and evaluate state of the art virtual reality systems. The Master with focus on medialogy coordinates the study and design of interactive technology for art, education and entertainment.

Interactive Media and Knowledge Environments (IMKE) is an international new media master program offered by the department of Informatics at Tallinn University. The first student intake will take place fall '06. The characteristic focus of the IMKE curriculum is on knowledge environments, digital interactive environments that host and facilitate individual and shared knowledge construction, in contexts such as educational environments, e-service environments, e-participation environments and game environments.
